PRESIDENT, PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER

Mark Hughes is a Professional Photographer and was formerly a Professional Forensic Engineer by trade. He is an accredited Photographer through the Professional Photographers of Canada. Mark is a versatile and award-winning photographer.

Mark primarily specializes in portraits of pets and people but is also an accomplished landscape and travel photographer. Mark specializes in capturing the moments that make memories. The core values that drive his work are:

Mark has a wide range of experience over many years having been commissioned for: weddings, events, food, corporate sessions and landscapes. Mark has sold his work through exhibitions, and stock photography services and has been commissioned for specific prints of his work. Operating with a small studio, Mark’s skill and versatility allows him to undertake a wide range of photographic commissions.

Mark has photographed hundreds of dogs and cats as a volunteer photographer for the Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society and the Edmonton Humane Society. Mark’s images have been used for adoption profiles as well as marketing and promotional materials. Mark regularly contributes articles on photography to the website Digital Photography School, one of the largest photography resource sites on the internet.

BUSINESS MANAGER

Shannon Dickie is the Business Manager for FocusOnPhotography, Mark Hughes Photography, and FureverPhotos. Shannon keeps things rolling with website development and maintenance, gallery design, inventory management, customer support and curriculum development. Shannon enjoys the creative outlet the studio brings and assisting Mark with his business.

Shannon also runs her own business as a Human Resources Consultant that supports businesses from employee handbooks to recruitment to policy manuals and everything in between. Shannon graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta and has completed a Human Resources Certificate at Grant MacEwan University.
