Pet Photography Course
In this course you will learn how to capture images of our furever friends and understand how to overcome the limitations of the camera equipment you are using. You will learn how to capture interesting images of a pet and understand approaches to animal behaviour to reduce their stress when photographing them (both for you and them).
You will learn about the different equipment and setting considerations for animals. Learn how to work with lighting, posing, perspective plus extra tips for the special pet.
We will have a fury friend at the studio to put your camera’s to the test!

Fundamentals 4 – Controlling Focus and Pulling it All Together
This course will put all the techniques you have learned together. You will learn about choosing the right focusing mode and understand the strengths and limitations of them. Differentiating metering modes will be explored to see when they can help you get better images and you will also understand the quality of light and controlling white balance. You will come away with an understanding of different file formats and how to choose the one that is right for you.
This course will teach you how to:
Ensure your portraits are in focus
Capturing moving subjects that are in focus
Compensate for difficult lighting circumstances
Be creative with sunsets and sunrises, getting lighting right
Understand focusing techniques

Fundamentals 3 – Shutter Speed
Shutter speed allows you to create the appearance of motion. In this course, you will learn how to manage your exposure duration effectively. You will understand how to use motion blur to your advantage and how to freeze fast moving subjects. During the practical section, we will experiment with more advanced techniques to show you how to take advantage of longer duration shutters to be creative.
This course will teach you how to:
Creatively use motion blur with your subject
Learn how to freeze fast-moving subjects
Learn how to light paint and light write
Control camera shake to avoid unintentionally blurry photographs
Use a tripod effectively
Use the shutter priority mode on your camera

Fundamentals 2 – Aperture
Aperture is one of the most important and limiting factors of photography. This course will help you understand the concepts of depth of field, its strengths and limitations. Aperture control allows photographers immense creative control for their subjects. In this course, you will learn how to make your images sharp and how to isolate your subjects. This course will focus on the lenses attached to your camera.
This course will teach you how to:
Use depth of field effectively
Understand focal length of lenses and when to use them
Know what Bokeh is
Explore the concept of hyperfocal distances
Creative more interesting portraits and landscapes
Blur a background to isolate your portrait subjects
Use the Aperture priority mode on your camera

Fundamentals 1 - Introduction to Your Camera
Learn how to use your camera and get hands-on experience with how it works. Learn about the features of your camera, basic photographic techniques and learn about photographic terms that will help you understand how to use your camera. This course will even help you take better photographs with your smartphone.
This course will teach you how to:
Use the controls on your camera
Recognize the different parts of your camera and what they do
Basic techniques to improve your images
Understand the concept of exposure and the exposure triangle
Choose the appropriate white balance
Utilize sensor sensitivity (ISO) effectively for your images
Take better images with the equipment you have

#YEG Photo Tour-Ukrainian Cultural Village
Join us for a guided #YEG Photo Tours to explore our living history museum, as history is brought to life by costumed interpreters portraying the lives of actual pioneers! Hear stories of solitude, survival, and perseverance while discovering how Ukrainian immigration made a significant impact on Alberta's cultural identity.
Our instructor, David Buzzeo, will help guide you through tips and techniques of landscape and architectural photography.

#YEG Photo Tour-Elk Island Park
Experience the beauty of Elk Island Park and get a chance to get close to the buffalo and other park animals. Followed by a short walk through some of the distinctive landscape and ecology that is Elk Island park. Hopefully, we will get a chance to get close to the buffalo!
Our instructor, David Buzzeo, will help guide you through tips and techniques of animal photography.

Join our guided #YEG Photo Tour to capture the beauty of the cultivated botanical gardens in the Aga Khan Garden. Our instructor, David Buzzeo, will guide you through how to take floral and architectural photographs.
Construction of the new Aga Khan Garden, Alberta, was completed in June 2018. The 4.8-hectare Mughal-inspired garden, made possible by a gift from His Highness the Aga Khan, features secluded forest paths, granite, and limestone terraces, still pools that reflect the prairie sky, waterfalls, and streams.

Join our guided YEG Photo Tour to take amazing architectural photographs of the UofA campus buildings and grounds. Our instructor, David Buzzeo, will guide you through how to take landscape and architectural photographs.
The University of Alberta is a public research university located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. There are 150 buildings covering 50 city blocks nestled on the edge of the North Saskatchewan River.

Join our guided #YEG Photo Tour to learn about and photograph the historical buildings of the Alberta Legislative Grounds and the surrounding area. There is everything from Classical Revival style architecture to Beaux-Arts to Art Deco. The grounds are adorned with beautiful gardens and stunning sculptures.
